Industry 4.0 Summit has attracted the attendance of more than 2,000 domestic and international delegates every year, becoming one of the most prestigious and biggest annual event in digital transformation in Vietnam.
Following that success, in 2021, with the aim of proposing solutions for sustainable socio-economic recovery and development in the post COVID-19 period, promoting and improving the effectiveness of implementing guidelines and policies to actively participate in the Fourth Industrial Revolution and develop the national industry, the annual event Industry 4.0 Summit with the theme “Creating the sustainable post-covid 19 socio-economic recovery and growth & promoting industrialization, modernization in the digital age” continues to be organized in the hybrid format by IEC Group, under the chairmanship of the Central Economic Commission, in collaboration with relevant central ministries.
On December 6, 2021, the Plenary session was honored to be co-chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The plenary session engaged the attention of more than 2,300 participants both online and offline which are experts, scientists; leadership from central and local ministries and branches; representatives of Vietnam embassies in foreign countries and foreign embassies in Vietnam, business community, domestic & international associations and organizations.
The Plenary session focused on key reports, including: Policy framework for sustainable socio-economic recovery and development associated with the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control strategy; Post COVID-19 global economic future and policy implications for Vietnam; Innovation – the key to recovery and development in the post-Covid-19 era; Industrialization in the digital age and sharing the successful experience of the State of Utah in the issue of industrialization and modernization.
Within the framework of the Plenary session, an executive talk with the participation of leadership from ministries, central and local agencies, businesses, domestic and international experts focused on the following 2 main topics:
- Discuss and propose improving Vietnam’s socio-economic recovery and completing policy framework on safe, flexible adaptation and effective control with Covid-19;
- Proposing recommendation models and policies to promote industrialization and modernization on the basis of science, technology and innovation in order to achieve the goal of Vietnam becoming a developing country with modern industry and a high average income by 2030; a developed and high-income country, and become one of Asia’s smart manufacturing and service centers by 2045.
During the event, a virtual reality exhibition regarding 4.0 technology models and digital transformation services was also held.
