The High-level Forum and International Exhibition on Industry 4.0 – Industry 4.0 Summit has attracted the interest and participation of over 2,000 delegates from both domestic and international sources annually, making it one of the largest annual forums on Industry 4.0 in Vietnam.

Continuing this success, in 2021, with the aim of proposing solutions for the recovery and sustainable socio-economic development in the post-Covid-19 period; promoting and enhancing the effectiveness of implementing the proactive policy and strategy to participate in the Fourth Industrial Revolution and national industrial development, the Third Annual High-level Forum on Industry 4.0 – Industry 4.0 Summit with the theme “Recovery and sustainable socio-economic development in the post-Covid-19 era and accelerating industrialization and modernization in the digital age” continued to be organized in both physical and virtual formats by IEC Group, under the chairmanship of the Central Economic Commission, in coordination with relevant central ministries and agencies.

On December 6, 2021, the High-level Session of the Forum was honored to be attended and co-chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The plenary session of the Forum attracted the participation of over 250 delegates in person and more than 2,000 delegates attending online at 63 locations across provinces and cities, and over 30 international locations via the internet – including experts, scientists, leaders of central and local ministries, representatives of Vietnamese embassies in countries and foreign embassies in Vietnam, the business community, domestic associations, and international organizations, etc.

The High-level Session focused on key reports, including: Framework of policies for sustainable socio-economic recovery and development associated with the Covid-19 prevention and control strategy; Global economic future post-Covid-19 and policy suggestions for Vietnam; Innovation – the key to post-Covid-19 recovery and development; Industrialization in the digital age and sharing successful experiences of the State of Utah in industrial and modernization development.

Within the framework of the high-level session, a High-level Dialogue took place with the participation and exchange of central and local government leaders, businesses, and domestic and international experts focusing on the following two major content groups:

    • Discussion, proposal, and recommendations to enhance the framework of policies for Vietnam’s socio-economic recovery and development in a safe, flexible, and effectively Covid-19 controlled state;
    • Proposal and recommendation of models, policies to promote industrialization, modernization on the basis of science, technology, and innovation to realize the goals by 2030: Vietnam is a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045 becoming a developed country with high income, becoming one of the smart manufacturing and service centers in the Asia region.

During the Forum, a Virtual Reality Exhibition showcasing models, products, and technologies of Industry 4.0, and the results of Vietnam’s digital transformation across sectors and fields took place throughout the Forum’s duration. The exhibition attracted the participation of over 20 leading technology solution providers both domestically and internationally in digital transformation such as Viettel Group, Trung Nam Group, VNPT Group, Samsung, Schneider Electric, etc., to provide effective solutions for organizations and businesses to make strong breakthroughs, promote the national digital transformation process, aiming for industrialization and modernization goals of the country.
