On May 24, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Insurance Association and IEC Group successfully co-organized a high-level panel discussion with the theme “Achieving operational efficiency and data security: Megatrends & Solutions” with the participation of over 100 delegates, including key policy planners and reputable information security experts in the financial-insurance sector.
According to a recent report by MarketsandMarkets, the global cybersecurity insurance market is expected to reach USD 11.9 billion in 2022 and is projected to grow to USD 29.2 billion by 2027. This growth is being driven by the increasing frequency and severity of cyberattacks, as well as the growing adoption of digital technologies by businesses and organizations. A report by Vinare Reinsurance Company also highlights that cybersecurity is one of the most common risks faced by the insurance/reinsurance industry in Asia, due to the rapid pace of digitization. Statistics show that the Asia-Pacific region accounted for 31% of all cyber incidents globally in 2022. As a result, the demand for cybersecurity insurance in the region is expected to triple by 2025.
In response to the growing demand for cybersecurity insurance, Insurance Association of Vietnam, HPE, Intel, Veeam, SVTech, VMWare, and IEC Group are collaborating to organize a High-level forum in New World Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City on May 24th, 2024. The roundtable, themed “Achieving Operational Efficiency and Data Security: Megatrends & Solutions” will provide a platform for insurance industry leaders, IT professionals, and renowned domestic and international experts to meet, exchange ideas, and share insights on digital insurance trends, technologies, and strategies.
